Godfrey Mramba

Managing Partner

Godfrey is the Managing Partner of Basil & Alred, where he provides strategic leadership across the firm’s audit, tax, and advisory practices.

Before establishing Basil & Alred, Godfrey served as Managing Director and Vice President of Coeur Tanzania Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Coeur d’Alene Mines Corporation, then the largest U.S.-based primary silver producer. Earlier in his career, he trained and worked as an auditor with Ernst & Young in Seattle, Washington, USA.

In addition to his role at Basil & Alred, Godfrey serves on several boards as a non-executive director, with a particular focus on audit, risk, and governance. These include his role as Chair of the Audit Committee of Stanbic Bank Tanzania and membership on the Audit and Business Development Committees of Muhimbili National Hospital, among others.

A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in both Tanzania and Washington State (USA), Godfrey is also a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) and a Registered Tax Consultant. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and the Washington Society of CPAs (WSCPA) and holds a Master of Accountancy from the University of Idaho, USA.

Jeremiah Mmbando

Audit Partner

Mr. Jeremiah is an Audit Partner with over 15 years of professional experience spanning a wide range of sectors. He has led numerous complex audit engagements, providing strategic insights and ensuring the highest standards of audit quality. With deep technical expertise and a strong commitment to client service, he is recognized for delivering practical, reliable, and value-driven assurance solutions.

Brian Kangetta

Director, Tax & Legal Services (CPA; Advocate)

Brian brings over twenty years of regional and cross-border experience in tax compliance and advisory, including with a Big Four firm. He is a sought-after strategist in corporate tax, VAT, transfer pricing, and regulatory disputes.

Joseph Rubambe

Manager, Advisory Services

Joseph has more than sixteen years of advisory experience in governance, ICT, digital transformation, and donor-funded programmes. His expertise lies in policy reform, institutional strengthening, and digital strategy.

Robert Ng’ang’a

Manager, Human Capital

Robert is a HR expert with over 13 years’ experience in HR consultancy and strategy.  has been involved in HR Strategy formulation, organisation structuring, job evaluation, performance Management, talent acquisition, HR and Skills Audits and salary structuring. He is also involved in implementation of change management,  stakeholders engagements and project management. He has assisted clients in a broad range of industries including financial services, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, hospitality, media, manufacturing, consumer products, government and non-profits, with different needs, in many Africa markets across the Sub Saharan and West African Region.

Robert has worked for Deloitte, PwC, One Acre Fund and  21st Century Pay Solutions East Africa.
